Judith "Judy" Nielsen

Judith “Judy” Nielsen, age 81, of Daisy, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021.

She was born on August 26, 1940, in Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Hollingshead and Margaret Satterfield Hollingshead. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Raymond Nielsen; her grandson, Nolan Anderson; her parents; her brother, Bill Hollingshead; and her son-in-law, Johnnie Anderson. On March 21, 1959, she was married to the love of her life, Raymond “Ray” Nielsen.

She enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with Ray after their retirement, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Judy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Nielsen of Daisy; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard “Rick” and Shawna Nielsen of Edmond, Oklahoma; her daughter, Susan Anderson of Daisy; her grandchildren, Hilary Alese Nielsen of Nashville, Tennessee and Ryan F. Nielsen and his wife, Breanna, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her special friend who became like her adopted daughter, Faye Brown of Daisy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, December 10, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.
