Judith Ann Donham Wright, of Daphne, Alabama, and a native of Little Rock, died peacefully on January 8, 2007 at her home, surrounded by those she loved, after a long and valiant struggle against cancer. She was 59.
Judy was known by family and friends alike for her gentleness, graciousness and kindness to everyone around her. Her sweet disposition and thoughtfulness of others cannot be measured. She had a great sense of humor, a deep love of animals and respect for all living things.
She leaves behind two daughters, Kelley Wright and Amber Wright, both of Daphne; her mother, Mrs. Mary Nell Donham, of Little Rock; a brother, Buck Donham, of Little Rock; a sister, Mimi Nation, of Little Rock; several nieces and nephews; her beloved dog, Honey, and cats, Molly and Eliot. She was preceded in death by her father, William H. Donham, Jr.; a sister, Deborah Oskowis; and her grandparents, Henry and Irene Donham and Theo and Winifred Mashburn.
Judy graduated from Forest Park Elementary School and Forest Heights Junior High School. She had attended Hall High School before her family moved briefly to the Washington, D. C. area in 1965, and graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia. She received her Associates Degree in Court Reporting from Faulkner State College in Bay Minette, Alabama. She was a member of the Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 Friday, January 12, at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock, officiated by Reverend Ron Fields. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International, American Cancer Society or your local Humane Society.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Daniel Cameron and chemo-angel, Louise, along with Mercy Medical Home Hospice employees for assisting her with comfort and care. Judy will always be loved, always be missed and always be remembered.
