Juanita Shumate
Juanita Brewer Shumate, age 78 of Little Rock, Arkansas, went to celebrate her life with Jesus Christ on May 28, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. She was born October 17, 1937 in Coy, Arkansas; she was the daughter of Audie Brewer and Laura Brenly Brewer.
She is preceded in death by her father Audie Brewer and mother Laura Brenly Brewer.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years JT Shumate; one daughter Tina Shumate Harrod (Steve), three sons Tim Shumate (Sharon), Bobby Shumate (Brandi), Rodney Shumate (Ziggy). Grandchildren Magen Rodriguez (Jared), Morgan Shumate, Madison Shumate, Colton Harrod, Jayden Shumate, Blakelea Harrod Leach (Stephen) and Savannah Harrod (William). Great-Grandchildren Hunter Rodriguez, Brianna Rodriguez and Ellery Dean Leach. Sister Audrey Boyles (Billy), Betty Stanley (James), Sybil Ball, James Brewer (Teresa), and Bill Brewer (CeCe).
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Arkansas Hospice nurses and staff and Dr Brad Baltz for his care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am, on Monday, June 6th, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carti 8901 Carti Way, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
