Joye Francis

Joye Francis age 78 of Alpine died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Hot Springs. She was born May 20, 1930 the daughter of John and Mattie Runyan Turner. She was a retired employee of the Shelby Glove Factory, a member of the Amity Second Baptist Church and the widow of John D. Francis.

She is survived by one son, Johnny Francis and his wife Nancy of Alpine, three daughters, Jeannie Beene of Conway, Kay Carlson and her husband Herschel of St. Genevieve, MO and Gail Francis of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Ida Faye Robertson of Arkadelphia and Jean Thomason of Amity, nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Amity Second Baptist Church with Rev. James Guthrie and Rev. Derrick Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the Alpine Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the Alpine Building Fund c/o Jane Bean, 308 West Thompson, Amity, AR 71921.
