Joycelyn Brown

Joycelyn Yvonne Brown, 81, of Cabot passed away December 22, 2007 in the Cabot Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had lived for the past 3 years. She was born July 7, 1926, in Burleson, Texas, the only child of Frank and Lometa McMeans Booth. Her career included being a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, a house parent at the Children Homes in Waco and El Paso, Texas and caregiver to her mother.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Joycelyn Snofsky. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Linda & JD Fortner of Cabot, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Steven Snofsky, United States Navy, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Christina Snofsky of Ft. Worth, Texas, Amber and husband Ben Goodwin of Albuquerque, New, Mexico, Lacey Daughtery of Idaho, Kimberly and Kenny Poe of Conway, Arkansas, Kent and wife Rita Goodgion of Wolforth, Texas, Ronny and wife Nett Fortner of Lubbock, Texas, Terry and wife Robbie Fortner of Cabot, Arkansas and Brian and wife Mary Fortner of Ft. Sumner, New, Mexico. She had fourteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, several cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Services to follow at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at the church with Rev. Terry Fortner officiating.
