Joyce Ann Thompson, age 71 of Arkadelphia, died March 25, 2018. She was born March 1, 1947, the daughter of Everett Laverne and Mable Odell Smith Asher in Monticello, AR. Joyce was a homemaker, a seamstress and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shirlene Gills and two step daughters Kim Herrington and Sherri Hooker. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, J.D. Thompson; two sons, Roy Mckim of Donaldson, AR and Dusty Rhoads of Arkadelphia, AR; one stepson, Tim Davis of Virginia; one daughter, Kristi Thompson of Arkadelphia, AR; one brother, Charles Asher of Nacogdoches, TX; four sisters, Shirley McDade of Donaldson, AR, Nancy Ferguson of Malvern, AR, Karen Nottingham of Donaldson, AR and Kathleen McMahan of Midway, AR; four grandchildren, Kori Gills of Ann Arbor, MI, Kamron Gills of Springdale, AR, Brandon Gills of Conway, AR and Brooke Gills of Hot Springs, AR.
Graveside services will be 10:30am Friday March 30, 2018 at Ouachita Cemetery in Donaldson, AR, with Rev. LeRoy Williams officiating.
