On February 23, 2023, Joyce Dean Barnard Pack joined her beloved husband of 67 years, Tom. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 8, 1932 to Charles Barnard and Evelyn Schoonover Barnard. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Charlie Barnard, infant brother, Kenneth and sister, Carole Foughty.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Susan Cope and Kim Garrett, and bonus daughters, Kaye Earney and Lynn Spallone of Littleton, Colorado; much loved grandsons, Tommy Lankford (Dana) of Conway, Zack Cope, Lee Short and Steven Garrett (Jaycie); bonus grandson, Jonathan Weir; four precious great-grandchildren, Meleah Anne and Tommy Lankford, Jr., Aaron and Destiny Cope; sister, Pat Stewart of Hot Springs; sisters-in-law, Dollie Barnard and Evelyn Pack of Texas; brother, Steve Barnard (Sherrie) of Hot Springs Village; special adopted family, James and Cynthia Harris of Heber Springs; best friend, Glenna Waller; and a host of dear nieces and nephews.
Joyce was a 1950 graduate of Little Rock High School and longtime member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church. She was a stay-at-home Mom and loved the procession of kids and friends in and out of her home. Her life revolved around her faith, her family and her many treasured friends.
Graveside services are Friday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park by her nephew, Rev. Scott Stewart. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate
