Joyce Mitchell

It is with great sadness that we announce Joyce Dean Mitchell of Haskell, AR, went to be with the Lord at age 76 on May 3, 2020. She was born on July 8, 1943 to Jimmy and Mae Little. She was married on October 21, 1961 to Robert Lynn Mitchell. Their love began in the seventh grade. Together they raised three boys, Jeff, Kevin, and Travis. Joyce worked and retired from Arkansas Health Center. She was a homemaker and such a compassionate spirit. She was a strong and determined woman that always led by example. She always had wise advice to give and was so proud of her family. No matter where she went, she was always boasting about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved any chance to spend time with her family. She was renowned for her cooking skills. On holidays, she would spend all day cooking and preparing for our gatherings. She had a passion for reading, doing puzzles, planting tulips, gardening, and spending the day working in her yard. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy; mother, Mae; sister, Emma; and brother, Robert. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Lynn; her three children, Jeff, Kevin and Travis; her daughter-in-law, Sherri; her brother, James; her sister-in-law, Linda; her grandchildren, Crystal, Paige and Trinity; and her great-grandchildren, Landon and Parker.
