Joyce Joan "Joann" Kulpa, 79, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012. She was a member of Levy Baptist Church and retired from M.M. Cohn. Joann's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending dance competitions with North Little Rock School of Dance, where she was the dancers' biggest fan. She was affectionately called "Nanny" by everyone.
She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Lee and husband, Tony, of Benton and Karen Bowren and husband, Art, of Sherwood; four grandchildren, John Michael Fowler, Nick Bowren, Britt Bowren and Tiffany Lee; and two sisters, Betty Waller and Louise Buice. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Kulpa; one sister and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to Levy Baptist Church, 3501 Pike Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday at Levy Baptist Church. Burial will be at Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
