Joyce Margaret Thomas Gray, 86, of Little Rock, saw the face of Christ as she went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 10, 2007. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene.
She was our Memaw and the things she most passionately loved were her Lord and her family. Although we rejoice in knowing that she now walks hand in hand with Jesus, we will so deeply miss our Memaw. She loved so much being with her family. She loved going to church. She loved her home and working to make it the wonderful refuge it was to all of us. She loved the Ocean. Memaw displayed perfect humility. She was a true reflection of God's perfect peace and she influenced many to pursue a relationship with Jesus. She was our guardian angel in life, and will always be our guardian angel now and forever. I love you so much, Memaw, Chers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Truman A. Gray; daughter, Cheryl Smith and her husband, Michael; three brothers, Vance and Erma Thomas, Bobby and Guyva Thomas and Dick Thomas; one sister, Nita Curtis; granddaughter, Shannon and Doug Ramer; grandson, Josh and Danica Smith; and great-grandson, Landon Ramer. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Gladys Blevins Thomas; sisters, Gayle Pounders, Doris Linz and Sibyl Mann; and brothers, Bill Thomas and Dale Thomas.
