Joyce Cogburn

Joyce Cogburn, age 74, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

She was born on October 29, 1947, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of Carlie Allen and Opal Mae Montgomery Allen.  On December 30, 1981, she was married to Bobby Cogburn.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her four brothers, Wayne Allen, Spike Allen, Neil Allen and Joe Allen.

She was a member of the Community Fellowship Church and for over thirty years she was employed with Farm Credit Services in Glenwood until her retirement.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, horses and loved taking care of her dogs.  Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Cogburn of Glenwood; her children, Christine Banks and her husband, Tracy, of Nashville, Lisa Ford and her husband, Tom, of Royal and Allen Hunter and his spouse, Wayne Pyland of Little Rock; her stepson, Billy Jack Cogburn of Morrilton; three grandchildren, Jeremi Johnson, Shane House and Nicole House; eight great-grandchildren; her special fur baby, Betty Boop; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Scott Vaughn and Bro. Craig Poirier officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Fancy Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Allen, Charles DeCoty, Dwight Weeks, Chase Hunter, Brad Manasco and Brian Manasco.
