Joyce Avis Lesslie, 95, of Conway, Arkansas earned her wings on March 12, 2023. Joyce was born June 30, 1927, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Adolf Springmeyer and Mildred Springmeyer Lashley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lesslie, Sr., daughter, Suzan Brakebill, her brothers, Jack, James, and Gerald Springmeyer.
Joyceâs passion in life was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
If you were to ever come to Joyceâs house, you were never going to leave hungry or thirsty. Those were the first things she was going to make sure of.
Joyce was an avid golfer until the late 1980s with the Ladies Golf Association at the Conway Country Club.
Joyce had a wonderful personality. She kept her children laughing all the way to her final days.
Joyce is survived by her children, Sharon Freeman (Cletis) of Conway, Donald Lesslie, Jr. of Euless, Texas, Sheilah Lesslie-Burgess (Chris) of Conway, Daniel Lesslie (Kaye) of Flower Mound, Texas, and Shelly Grage (Craig) of Conway; a sister, Virginia Pentz of Imperial, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Royce McPherson, Jr., Dr. Donald Lesslie III, Chad McPherson, Eric Self, Jr., Chad Lesslie, Justin McPherson, Chance Lesslie, and Blake Hogue.
Services will be handled by Griffin Leggett Conway. Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 3pm-5pm. Funeral service will be Monday, March 20, 2023, at 10:30am followed by burial at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
