Joshua "Josh" David Holt, 33, of Little Rock, died Sunday, September 21, 2014. He was born in Russellville, Arkansas on September 24, 1980 to James William and Kim Thomas Holt.
Josh graduated from Morrilton High School in 1998 and then graduated from UALR with a Bachelor's degree in business. He worked as a consulting systems engineer at Net Gain Technologies. Josh enjoyed running, cycling, working on the farm with his wife, Kellie, trout fishing with his dad and brother, duck hunting with his brother and spending time with his family. He was a member of All-In Multisport (AIM). Josh was an avid runner and qualified for the Boston Marathon twice.
He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Kellie Emerson Holt; parents, James and Kim Holt of Jerusalem, AR; brother, Jeffrey Holt (Aubrey) of Russellville; niece, Aiden Elizabeth Holt; and two half-brothers, James III and Jeremy Holt of Arizona. Josh was preceded in death by his uncle, David Carlton Thomas; maternal grandparents, Carlton and Kay Thomas; and paternal grandfather, James Holt, Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 505 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25th, at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., North Little Rock. Visitation will be at 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
