Josh Jaynes

Josh Jaynes, age 32, of Amity, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

He was born on July 23, 1988, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Steve Grider and Christina Sue Randolph Grider. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janet Byrne.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid outdoorsman. Josh had a huge heart and a big personality, was a jokester and could always put a smile on anyone’s face, no matter the mood they were in. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his daughter, Madison Harper, who was truly Josh’s world and he adored her with all his heart. Everyone who knew and loved Josh will truly miss him.

He is survived by his pride and joy, his daughter, Madison Harper Jaynes of Glenwood; his parents, Steve and Christina Grider of Amity; his brother, Jeff Jaynes of Hot Springs; his three sisters and one brother-in-law, Melissa Randolph of Bonnerdale, Amber Urban and Brandy and Brandon Cooper, all of Hot Springs; his girlfriend, Jessica Carty of Hot Springs; the mother of his daughter, Meghan Farmer of Glenwood; his grandfather, Gene Byrne of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandmother, Katherine Grider of Amity; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 13, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.
