Joseph "Joe" Miller

Joseph “Joe” Norman Winn Miller, 88, of North Little Rock, AR passed away on December 9, 2021.  He was born in Chataignier, LA on November 29, 1933, son of George and Rachael Fontenot Miller.

He served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant and was stationed in Austria and Germany during the Korean War.  He worked for 42 years for MoPac/Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer. He was a long-time member of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, American Legion Post 0011 and of the Baptist Faith.

He will always be remembered as a hard-working and loving husband, Dad, Pa’Pa, and“Blanc”.  Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, son Randy Miller, and siblings, Carroll Miller and Laura Jane Aguillard.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gwen Miller, Daughter Lori Miller Campbell, and son, Scott (Lori) Miller; Six grandchildren: Sean (April) Miller, Bryan Campbell, Josh (Angie) Miller, Randi (Alan) Wright, Erin Miller, and Caleb Miller and 10 great-grandchildren: Corbin, Daltin, Stormy and River Miller. Hayden Campbell. Vivian and Hayes Miller. Elsie, Evie and Miller Wright.

Visitation will be 5:00-6:30 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Baring Cross Baptist Church, funeral service will begin at 6:30 PM. Interment will be 10:00 AM, Friday, December 17, 2021 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
