Joseph R. Vickers, 60, of Little Rock, died May 25, 2010 at Big Flat, Arkansas. He was born May 4, 1950 to Kenneth and Mae Rose Vickers at Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He attended deaf school at Olathe, Kansas, worked at a local Little Rock printing company and was of the Baptist faith.
Joe loved to go to his home place at Big Flat. He loved the hills. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved everyone and had many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Vickers; son, Richard Vickers; daughter, Georgia May Vickers; two stepsons, Paul and Payne Haddock; three grandsons and one granddaughter, all of Little Rock; his mother, Mae Rose Vickers of Big Flat; sister, Linda Sue Henery of Kingman, Arizona and a nephew, Jerry Don Henery. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Vickers, nephew, Jearld Henery, grandparents, Dewey and Iva Rose and Matt and Eulah Vickers.
Services will be Tuesday, June 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Bob Slagley.
