Joseph “Joe” Arthur St. Ana, 55, of Little Rock, AR, passed away on June 20, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.  He was born in Jacksonville, FL to Joseph Albert St. Ana and Linda Duffey.  He was a submariner in the United States Navy and a Seabee in the Navy Reserves.   

Joe started 3 restaurant Businesses, including Crush Wine Bar in Argenta, the first dedicated wine bar in Arkansas and continued to run it for the past 16 years.  His passion for wine lead him to become a Sommelier.  He loved to travel to vineyards and learn all he could about the wine making process.  He also loved cars, especially Mustangs and was a collector.  He participated in the Gambler 500s with his son.  Joe did what he could to help others.  He volunteered with Riverfest, The AR State Fair as a wine judge, the Little Rock Film Festival, the Italian Food Festival, and other organizations that supported the arts and the restaurant industry as well as charities.  He participated in BBQ contests and was an incredible cook.  Most of all he was a dynamic people person who wanted to be everyone’s friend.  He was a wonderful father and husband and truly loved his family. 

Survived by wife, Virginia; children, Joseph and Ava; sister, Melanie Johnson (Paul); sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Jorden (Nate), Katherine Greer (Steven); nieces/nephews Henry Jorden, Madison Barnett, Oliver Jorden, Emily Dodson, Clark Greer, Alice Greer; and his dog Knox.

Celebration of Life for Joseph will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Crush Wine Bar at 318 N. Main St., North Little Rock, AR.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Ronald McDonald House Charities, the American Diabetes Association, SPOHNC (support for people with oral and head and neck cancer) or Boys and girls Clubs of Central Arkansas.
