Joseph Ray Spoon, 70, of Maumelle, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maumelle; served in the United States Navy and worked in the trucking industry for 50 years He was also a member of Maumelle Country Club, an avid golfer, fisherman, and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (Eddlemon) Spoon, of Maumelle; three sons, Donny Spoon and wife, Angela, David Spoon and wife, Wanda, all of Beebe, and Dean Spoon and wife, Casey, of Germany; two daughters, Kim Barnett, of Maumelle, and Danna Barnett, of Bryant; father, Frank D. Spoon, of North Little Rock; step-children, Diana and Kenny Wilkinson, Cheryl Moore, Scott Kellar, Stuart and Rachael Kellar; brothers, Charlie Jones, of Little Rock and Brooks Spoon, of North Little Rock; sisters, Kathy Mohesky and Irene Mitchell; twenty five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Elrod Spoon and his son, Frank Daniel Spoon.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Maumelle. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
