Joseph Murphy

Joseph Murphy, age 84, of North Little Rock, passed away July 28, 2007. He was born June 10, 1923 in Dundee, Scotland to the late Daniel and Teresa Murphy. Joseph served in the Royal Air Force for five years. He came to the United States in 1952, where he worked for Timex for twenty years and taught at Pulaski Heights Jr. High for five years. He was a faithful member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church for forty-three years.

Mr. Murphy is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Mildred B. Murphy of North Little Rock; daughter, Anne Kathleen Murphy of North Little Rock; granddaughter, Stephanie Frances Murphy of North Little Rock; brother, John Murphy of Dundee, Scotland; sisters, Margaret Balbirnie of Dundee, Scotland and Ann Richards of New York; numerous nieces and nephews

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Teresa Murphy; sister, Beatrice Murphy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Rest Hill Memorial Park. The vigil service will be 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
