Joseph Morgan

Joseph Riley Morgan passed away on November 17, 2021 at the age of 77.  He was born on May 21, 1944 in Oil Trough, Arkansas to James Logan, Sr. and Eva Irene Landrum Morgan.  Joe was raised in Newport, Arkansas and was in the insurance business for over 43 years before retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Paula Newton Morgan; sons, Jay and Steven Morgan and their children; sisters, Minnie Dutton, Paulette LeMay (Mike) and Mary Jane Coats; brother, Dr. Sam (Phyllis) Morgan; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kellogg; brother-in-law, John Paul Newton; special great-niece, Marissa Caroline Dove; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Coy Spillman and brother, Rev. James Logan Morgan, Jr. of Newport, Arkansas.

Joe was a Christian and a member of First Christian Church.  At this time, no services have been planned by the family.
