Joseph "Joe" Jessup, age 25, of Bismarck, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. He was born on November 18, 1990, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He and his family moved to Glenwood in 1994 where he attended Centerpoint Schools. At an early age, he went to work for Chad Moore with Moore Dozer Service who taught him his trade and his work ethic. He worked as a directional driller for several companies and at present was employed by Broadband Technology Resources of Little Rock. Joe was a Christian in his faith and defended it often. He was a good provider for his family and enjoyed playing with his daughter, especially Barbie dolls. He liked riding dirt bikes, or anything that went fast. He enjoyed fishing, riding trails in the woods and being outdoors. He is survived by his fianc, Meagan Brown of Bismarck; his daughter, Jaycee Jessup of Bismarck; his father, Joe Jessup of Whittier, North Carolina; his mom, Ginny Jessup of Glenwood; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Wes and Laci Patton of Rosboro and Kaylan Jessup of Glenwood; his paternal grandparents, Virgil and JoAnn Jessup of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Carmen Jessup of Franklin, North Carolina; his maternal grandparents, Ray and Carolyn Longshore of Benton, Louisiana; his future in-laws, Harold and Pamela Brown of Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Erby Burgess officiating.
