Joseph Sherrell Hart, age 75 of Arkadelphia died Friday, February 02, 2007 at his home. He was born Nov. 1 1931 in Laneburg, AR the son of the late Eddie M. and Ruth Bolls Hart. He was a retired employee of 38 years for Georgia Pacific and vice president/general manager of Tri-State Mill Supply. He was 1956 graduate of Southern State University receiving a bachelor's degree in Business. He served as president of the student body his senior year and president of the Alumni Association in the 70's. . He was on the Board of Directors for the Crossett Chamber of Commerce and Crossett Rotary Club and also a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a Korean War army veteran, a Gideon, a Deacon and Sunday school teacher (4th grade boys) at the Crossett Baptist Church.


Survivors include his wife, Patricia Allen Hart; two daughters, Allyson Mitchell of Senatobia, MS and Dianne Kellogg of Springdale, AR; one sister, Rachel Vaden of North Little Rock; four grandchildren.


Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Monday, Feb. 5, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone and Will Thompson officiating. Interment will be in the Snell Cemetery near Emmett, AR.

Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
