Joseph Hall, 91, of Roland, passed away on June 25, 2009. Born July 16, 1917 in Collinston, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, he was the son of Leroy and Luvenia Brantley Hall. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a welder with A.O. Smith Company for 25 years and a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Roland.
Preceded in death by his wife, Jarlett Hall, his parents and his sisters, Martha Butler and Mary Daniels, he is survived by his children, Catherine Whitfield of Hensley, Phillip Hall (Joan) of North Little Rock, Thomas Hall (Chandra) of Fort Worth, Texas and Anthony Hall of Roland; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and godchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2 at First Baptist Church, Henry and West Streets in Roland, officiated by Rev. George Moore and Rev. Larry Staggers. Burial will follow in the Little Rock National Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening, July 1, from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock.
