Jordan Wear

Jordan Layne Wear, 29, of Traskwood, Arkansas passed away December 4, 2021.  He was born February 22, 1992, in Little Rock to Carla Marie Crook and the late Bruce Wear.

Jordan loved his family and his work family at Colton’s Steak House in Benton.  He was always smiling and never met a stranger.  He got along with everyone and made it his mission to make everyone smile and be happy.  Jordan was a dedicated and loyal employee who never complained.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and was an avid reader. He studied the Bible and read it everyday.  Jordan was affectionately nicknamed “Goofy” when he spent a lot of time at the skate park.  It is a nicknamed that stuck with him for many years.

Preceding Jordan in death are his father, Bruce Wear; grandfather, Louie Crook; and grandmother, Evelyn Ables.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory:  mother, Carla Marie Crook; siblings:  Dustin Wear, Melanie Wear, Zachary Wear, Jarrod Brody Wear, and Tristan Wear; grandmother, Wanda Crook; nieces, Aubrey and Addison Wear; Colton’s Steak House family; and many aunts, uncles, family members and friends who love Jordan and will miss his bright smile always.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 PM, Monday, December 13, with funeral service following at 4:00 PM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Private burial will be held at Social Hill Cemetery.
