Jordan Tyler Chaffin, 22, of Hot Springs, died January 31, 2023, as a result of Type 1 diabetes. He was born January 9, 2001, in Hot Springs, the son of Amanda (Alex) King and Jason (Misty) Chaffin. He attended Gurdon Public Schools, and he graduated from Fountain Lake Charter High School in 2019, where he was certified in welding through National Park College.
Jordan loved the ocean and the woods. He loved mud riding and conversations. He had a love for the military, and he wanted to serve but now he's serving in God's army. He loved guns and the sport of shooting. He had a collection of knives. He was proud of his love of music ranging from Elvis, country or rock. You would catch him singing along to whatever song. He always had a smile and a little chuckle to go around. Jordan developed Type 1 diabetes at the age of nine, but he didn't let it stop him. He lived life to the fullest. He loved his friends and family.
Jordan is preceded in death by his aunt, Sharah Benton and his grandfather, Terry Hardin.
Survivors include his parents, Amanda (Alex) of Gurdon and Jason (Misty) Chaffin; his sister, Alexis King of Arkadelphia; his brother, Thomas Chaffin of Hot Springs and his sister, Lexann Chaffin of Hot Springs. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Beverly Hardin of Bismarck and his paternal grandparents, Ron and Shelia Chaffin of Hot Springs. He is also survived by a lot of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends especially his close friend, Lance Spoo.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
