Born in Little Rock on March 1, 1982 to Jan Cady Waldrip and Jonathon Keith Waldrip, he graduated from North Little Rock High School and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with BA in music. He was employed as an associate in banking at Central Mortgage Company.
Survivors besides his parents include fiancée Aariona Lenae McCann; sister; Jill Waldrip Davis and husband, James; nieces, Caroline and Charlotte Davis; nephew, James Davis; grandmother, Charlotte Waldrip; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jonathan is remembered for his kind, generous spirit, great sense of humor and loving heart. He loved many pets that enriched his life including Ziggy, Amadeus, Ty, Mufassa, Lucy and Teensy. Jonathan found such solace and renewal in nature and especially enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing and floating. Sunsets and sunrises were his absolute favorites. Music was another huge outlet in Jonathan's life and he enjoyed singing, playing multiple instruments and attending shows with friends and family.
Family will receive friends at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7th. The celebration of Jonathan's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8th at Fellowship North. If you plan to attend the service we invite you to wear bright bold beautiful colors as Jonathan would want us to celebrate his earthly life and especially his new life and not mourn his death. Private burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Friends of the Ouachita Trail-Jonathan Waldrip Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 8630, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71910.
