Jonathan Price Shankle

Jonathan Price Shankle, 37, passed away on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. He was born on October 3, 1986, in El Dorado, AR.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents Chesney and LaNell Blundell Haney and Leon and Helen Henley Shankle of Camden, Ark.

Price is survived by his immediate family Don and Leesa Haney Renshaw and his aunts, Jerri Gillespie (Kevin) and Linda Muldrow (Lee).  Among his cousins are Brian Muldrow, Kelly Muldrow Gunter (John), Aubrey Gillespie de Matthaeis (Matias), Grant Gillespie, and Brittany Gillespie. Younger cousins include Murphy Muldrow, Benson Muldrow, and Kathlyn Grace Gunter.

Price was a proud resident of Little Rock.  He attended Hall High School and Pulaski Technical College. He completed an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business.

He valued the importance of great literature, of environmental conservation, and of the protection of God’s creatures.  Price was an avid reader and loved to collect classic books.

He was also an advocate for saving the environment and securing a safe place for homeless animals that crossed his path.  His most notable rescue was Bowser, his very special canine companion and partner in adventure for 16 years.

Price had a soft spot in his heart for senior adults. His ability to relate and communicate was a special gift, and their trust and acceptance were a valued gift in return.  For all that he gave and all that he was, this intelligent and talented young man will be truly missed by his family and friends.
