Jon Allen Meredith, age 70, of Hot Springs, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, due to a fall, hitting the back of his head that caused brain swelling.
He was born on April 11, 1952, the fifth child of Mearl Meredith and Lola Hollowoa Meredith. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jerry Meredith.
Jon was accomplished in many skills. Whether it was carpentering, electrical, plumbing or mechanical, if it needed fixed at his home, he fixed it.
His first jobs were driving a truck for AMPI for eleven years, Jon’s Brush Hogging, driving trucks and moving equipment for Ricky Davis and later was owner of Jon’s Pipe and Steel. He was also a welder.
Jon is survived by one brother, James Meredith of Lacey, Washington; two sisters, Murel Maughan and Sherry Braughton, both of Hot Springs; four nieces; two nephews and good friend, since they were teenagers, Gerald “Moose” Lammers; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at CHI St. Vincent ICU and Hospice Care for taking such wonderful care of Jon.
Per Jon’s wishes, there will be no services or memorial.
