Johnny Knox

Johnny Ray Knox was taken by angels to meet the Lord Friday, May 11, 2018.
He was born December 12, 1956 in Searcy, AR, the third child of Irey Victor (I.V.) and Anne Elizabeth Knox.
Johnny was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 624 for 40 years. His pipeline career began when he started working with Snuffy right out of high school operating in the Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas areas. At age 19 he went to Oklahoma to welding school. After graduation he went back to pipeline as a welder with Double B Pipeline. He continued on to bigger and better positions starting with being a heavy equipment operator, Tie-in Foreman, Union Steward, and finishing with being elected as the General Manager covering all of Arkansas and Mississippi. In 1983, he married his first wife Barbara. In 2003 he married his 2nd wife Kathy. In August of 2012, he married Virginia Cunningham.
Johnny loved raising chickens, collecting knives, watching WWE Wrestling and Nascar races. He enjoyed playing and visiting with all his nieces and nephews and giving them his own nicknames. He was also a member of the Church of Christ. Those who knew him best will remember him for being playful, joking, and having a great laugh with an occasional "sleeper hold".
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents and wives.
