Johnny Armbrust

Johnny Armbrust, age 91, of Sherwood, passed away July 15, 2014 at Baptist Springhill. He was born on December 24, 1922 in Benton, Arkansas; he was the son of John and Mary Ella Armbrust.
Johnny was a carpenter for his brother Gene for fifty plus years. He was a member of Kellogg Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed wood working and watching all of his boys play ball.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Eugene, Allen, and Lester Armbrust, sisters Gladys Welch and Gracie Webb, daughter Diana Spencer, and niece Mary Jean Carr.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Ambrust; sister Juanita Prause; daughter Brenda Burns (Jim), son-in-law Mike Spencer; sister-in-law Mary Millsaps; grandchildren Amanda Pisanelli (Chris), Lisa Pierson (James), Melissa Grizzell (Dennis), John Spencer (Michelle); great grandchildren Katie Morrow, Kimberly Adams, Haley Roberts (Brandon), Drew Grizzell, Nicki Pierson, Kayla Campbell; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.In honor of Johnny's love for the Razorbacks, the family will be wearing Razorback Red for the funeral, and they ask that you participate as well if you wish.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6p.m. until 8p.m. at Huson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Baptist Springhill staff and Dr. Moss for the excellent car he received there in his recent hospitalizations.

Special thanks to the staff at Sherwood Nursing and Rehab for their care while a resident there and a place he called home for the past several years.
