Johnnie Williams

Johnnie Williams, age 72, of North Little Rock went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 25, 2008. She was born June 9, 1935 in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was a proud employee of Southwestern Bell for 35 years and a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Williams; son, Brett Williams, daughter-in-law, Jo Lynn; granddaughter, Jonah Williams; grandson, Gavin Williams; sisters, Lou Ann Buell, Cherie Morrison and brother, Jimmy Newman. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Richard (Dickie) Williams and mother Glenda Newman.

Johnnie was a loving and caring wife and mother. She loved to go to Tunica, Oaklawn and Lake Hamilton. She was cherished and loved by all who knew her. She was very close to her sister-in-laws, Claudine, Willene and Mary Jo. She spent much of her life enjoying time with her extended family and her neighbors, Tod, Genie, Michael and Spencer Richie.

Johnnie?s struggle with emphysema lasted for many years but she never lost her passion for life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her loving husband of 53 years, Jimmy.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Home Care for the love and care that they gave her in the last days of her life.
