Johnnie Dodson

Johnnie Richard Dodson, 70, of Alexander, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2006. Born on February 21, 1936 in Mountain View, Arkansas to Alton and Joyce Risner Dodson, he was a graduate of Mountain View High School and was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for thirty years. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Goldie Wallis Dodson; daughter, Rebecca Joyce Thacker (Todd); brothers, James A. Dodson, David L. Dodson and Oliver A. Dodson (Carolyn); sister, Anita Nichols; and three grandchildren, Justin, Peyton and Ethan Thacker. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents and son, Bruce Dodson.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Crystal Hill Baptist Church, Rev. Larry Ballard officiating, followed by graveside service at 4:00 p.m. at Levisy Flat Cemetery in Mountain View (Stone County). Visitation will be on Monday, July 10, from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock.
