John Wright,

John P. Wright, Jr., age 60, of Beebe, died Sunday, April 17, 2011. He was a self-employed general contractor and a self-taught architect. John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of McArthur Assembly of God where he enjoyed serving as a greeter.

John was preceded in death by his stepfather, J.P. Wright, Sr.; his father, Lauren Hiler; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morris. He is survived by his mother, Billie Jean Staples of Jacksonville; one daughter, Kristi Wright of North Little Rock; and one granddaughter, Sophia Wells.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at McArthur Assembly of God in Jacksonville with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Jacksonville.
