John White

John Hamilton White II, age 55, of Searcy, went home with the Lord, May 29, 2015.

John was an avid Child of God. He was the second of five children and he graduated from Beebe High School. John earned an Associate Degree from ASU Beebe in 1981. He was the Groundskeeper and Maintenance Specialist for ASU Beebe, UCA Conway, and Harding University for the last 33 years.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Geraldine White; two brothers, Robert and Jim White all of Beebe and son in law, Tommy Blackston Jr.


He is survived by his wife Sylvia "Kitten" White; three daughters, Robin Guntharp and husband, Jonathan, Shannon Burnett, and Rebecca Blackston; special grandchildren, Stormy Walters and Brian Boy; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Renee Minicozzi; brother, Jeff White; four nieces and one nephew.

Memorials may be made to the White Family c/o Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home, P.O. Box 490, Beebe, Arkansas 72012. Food Donations may be dropped off the day of service or contact the Funeral Home at 501.882.5412 for further instructions.


Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lebanon Cemetery, McRae.
