John Michael Wacaster Jr.

John Michael Wacaster Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Sunday May 21,
2023 at the age of 49.
 
John was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas and grew up in North Little Rock and Hot
Springs. He was an Army veteran, and had a career as a truck driver, driving many
miles around the continent of North America. In his spare time, he was an artist
that had a talent for wood carving and metal work.

John will be remembered as trustworthy, sincere, and a man of integrity, as well as
funny and witty. He also enjoyed to give and serve those around him.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John Wacaster, Sr. and Rebecca Hogue
Wacaster, and an uncle, Ricky Hogue. He is survived by Aunt Nancy and Uncle
Raul Hernandez, Aunt Judy and Uncle Mike Van Abel. Cousins, Regina Lovato,
Christine Contreras, Ian Van Abel, Emily Smyly and Adam Van Abel, and their
families, as well as his beloved canine, a Shizu named Charlie.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 5, 2023 at Smith Family Funeral Home - Hot Springs.
