John Tomosieski,
John Tomosieski, Jr., 73, of North Little Rock passed away Friday, January 15, 2010. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and served his country in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Bloomfield College. John was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Nancy Tomosieski, of North Little Rock; daughters, Joann Peters and husband, David, of New Lenox, Illinois, Diane Smith and husband, Dennis, of North Little Rock and Katherine "Kathy" Jones and husband, Wayne, of Ward; son, John Tomosieski, III, of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Katie Ann and Rebekah Simcox, of New Lenox, Illinois, Christina Gantt and husband, John, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Diana Ashley and Stephen Smith, of North Little Rock, Courtney and Jennifer Jones, of Ward, Kayla, Misty and Olivia Tomosieski, of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Kathleen Tomosieski; brother, Edward Tomosieski and wife, Rachel, all of Bloomfield, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Edna Tomosieski and brother, James "Jimmy" Tomosieski.
Memorials may be made to the parish of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7000 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116 or Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, followed by a vigil service at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 12 noon Thursday.
