John Smith

John "Perry" Smith, 73, of Benton, Arkansas passed away May 10, 2018. He was born June 7, 1944 in Taylor, Arkansas to the late Roscoe and Dorothy (Glass) Smith.
Perry loved everyone and everyone loved him in return. His favorite place was walking around the Saline River by Riverside Grocery Store. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Perry loved children. They referred to him as Santa Claus because of his long white beard. Perry was a major lover of LOUD music. He loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding Perry in death are his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters: Phyllis Wallace and Pam Messick of Benton, Arkansas; three nephews: Lance Wallace and wife Melanie of Wylie, Texas, Jason Wallace of Benton, Arkansas, and Kain Messick and wife Nikki of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; niece, April Ball and husband Aaron of Benton, Arkansas; two great-nephews, Logan Messick and Brandon Wallace; two great-nieces: Kiera Wallace and Kristen Wallace and a host of family and friends who love Perry and will miss him always.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 17, at Riverside Grocery, 4444 Hwy 5, Benton, Arkansas.
