John Rushing

John Henry Rushing, Sr., 79, of Little Rock, passed away February 26, 2020. He was born June 9, 1940 in Little Rock to the late George, Jr. and Ethel (Bright) Rushing.

John owned Rushing Construction and was a brick mason. Family was very important to John and he worked hard to provide for them. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and was ALWAYS there for his family no matter what. John enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and watching western TV movies every Sunday. He enjoyed humor and was easy to get to laugh, and many times would laugh until he cried!

Preceding John in death are his parents; two grandchildren: John Rushing III and Meagan Talbert; eight brothers and sisters; and the mother of his children, Mary Rushing.

He left behind to cherish his memory four daughters: Glenda, Darlene, Tanya, and Johnnie Sue; son, John, Jr.; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; special companion, Barbara Darnell; his precious fur baby, Baby Girl; and many family members and friends who love John and will miss him always.
