John Pierce

John T. Pierce, 55, of North Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009. He was a skilled carpenter and loved to work with wood. John was a self taught musician. He spent many years living in the Taos, New Mexico area where he was known to his friends as "Arkansas John". John was saved and baptized as a child at Levy Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy O. Pierce of North Little Rock; son, John Zach Pierce of West Virginia; granddaughter, Tiffany Pierce; two brothers, Jimmy Pierce of North Little Rock and wife, Phyllis, William Dennis Pierce of Conroe, Texas and wife, Beverly; sister, Sandra Burke of Denton, Texas and husband, Ron; three nieces, Christina, Elizabeth and Jamie; two nephews, Billy and David; and a host of grandnieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his father, W. D. Pierce and best friend, like a brother, Allan Donahue.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Full Gospel Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
