John McElyae

John W. McElyea, 74, of North Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014. He was born September 13, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to Lester and Margaret Lillard. John served in the U.S. Marine Corp. One of his favorite things was to go fishing with his wife, before her passing. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

John is survived by his son Glen McElyea and wife Teressa of Quitman, Arkansas; grandchildren, Chad McElyea of Knoxville, Tennessee; Courtney McElyea and Bailey McElyea both of Quitman; and great granddaughter Gracie LeAnn New of Quitman, two brothers, David McElyea of Scott and Bob McElyea of South Carolina; sister-in-law Edie Drake of North Little Rock and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda McElyea and son, Johnny McElyea.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. A visitation will be held prior to the service Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.. Online Obituary and guest registry at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
