John Major
John "Jac" F. Major, 61, of Sherwood, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011. He fought a valiant battle with cancer. And just like when he was gambling, he knew when to hold'em and when to fold'em; Jac left this life a winner!
Jac loved his family deeply. He graduated North Little Rock High School with the class of 1968. Following in his father's footsteps, he was a master salesman. And when he wasn't selling or gambling, he was cheering for his beloved Razorbacks.
He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Terry (Holt) Major; son, Justin Major of North Little Rock; daughter, Mary Beth Major Galbraith and husband, Justin, of North Little Rock; grandchildren, John Henry Major, Mikayla Major and Hannah Galbraith; brother, Robert "Bob" Major, Jr. and wife, Kathy, of North Little Rock; niece and nephew, Julie Woody and husband, Jeremy and Joe Major; close friends Larry Robertson, Matt Fowles, Charlie McDaniel; and numerous other special family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parent, R. A. "Mouse" and Jean Major.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main, 758-1170. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
