John Charles Lee, 78, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023. He was born June 28, 1944 in San Antonia, Texas to the late Wilbur Blanton Lee and Dorothy Sophie Lee.
John is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Linda Carolyn Lee of 47 years; two step-daughters, Sabra Deislinger and Sondra Griffith; younger brother, Richard (Ricky) Lee of Midlothian, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his older brother, Timothy Lee.
John grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Bryan Adams High School. He was a graduate earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas in Arlington in 1972.
John served in the Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He did Missile Training at Ft. Bliss. Upon leaving Ft. Bliss he was stationed in Maryland at the Missile Base outside of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. . After the military he worked in Dallas while earning a degree in Computer School. After graduation he moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where he met and married his wife, Linda. He was hired as a computer programmer analyst for the Department of Education in Little Rock where he retired after 25 years.
John loved serving the community. He was the Commander in the American Legion and he was a division leader with the Kiwanis Club and also a member of the United Commercial Travelers. John attended Cedar Heights Baptist Church serving as Sunday School director for several years.

Memorial service for John will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 24, 2023 at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, 14510 Cedar Heights Road, North Little Rock. After the service there will be a reception in the fellowship hall.
