John Patrick Kinney, Jr., age 82, of Little Rock, went to be with his Lord on October 11, 2006. Born July 25, 1924 in Nicholls, Georgia, he was a member of Life Line Baptist Church, a World War II Army Veteran and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Retired from Balfour Office Supply Company, J. P. enjoyed playing golf with a group of friends at Rebsamen Golf Course before his illness.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nina Pound, and brother, Frank Kinney, he is survived by his wife of almost sixty years, Jane Colvert Kinney; sister, Grace Price; in-laws, Edith Kinney, Irma Colvert, Bruce (Parthenia) Colvert, and Marvin (Margaret) Colvert; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court (NW corner I-630 and Barrow), Little Rock, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, officiated by Dr. Don Chancellor. Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park.
