John Andrew Kaplon, 86, of North Little Rock, passed away Friday, August 17, 2007 at Baptist Medical Center North. Born January 28, 1921, he was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Patrick?s Church for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran. He retired as an operating room technician from the Veteran?s Administration Hospital. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Rosary Sodality. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as a gentle, caring man full of love and generosity. He always thought of everyone ahead of himself and his love for his family was evident every day of his life. He loved the Lord very much and attending church was a big part of his life. He was the son of the late John and Helen Kaplon of Marche, AR.
John is survived by his loving wife of almost 53 years, Helen Kaplon. He is also survived by two sons, Ron and Pat; two daughter-in-laws, Vicki and Beverly; a grandson, John; and two granddaughters, Kristen and Emily, all of North Little Rock. He is also survived by two brothers, Sylvester and August, and a sister, Regina Ruple all of Marche, AR.
A rosary and scripture service with family visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home, Monday night at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in North Little Rock. Burial will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery in Marche, AR.
