John Hughes
John Albert Hughes, 81, of Arkadelphia went to be with his Lord and Savior August 11, 2008. He was born June 22, 1927 in the DeRoche Community, the son of the late Benjamin and Lillian May Hughes. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Arkadelphia, a veteran of the Korean War, and retired from Reynolds Metals Company.
He is survived by his wife Emma Jean Hollon Hughes, one son, Robby Young and wife Teresa of Benton, one daughter, Debra Young Newman and husband Gary of Arkadelphia, five grandchildren, Hayden Newman, Heather Luchin and husband Keith, Aaron Newman and wife Melody, Jonathan Young and wife Jana and Yael West, one great grandchild, Kedran Young.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, August 14, 2008 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Stan Parris officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
