John Henry "Jack" Hayes, Jr., 72, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away November 22, 2010. Born in Darby, Pennsylvania to John Henry Hayes, Sr. and Elizabeth Sanders Hayes, he was a telephone man. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge BPOE #316 of Cripple Creek, Colorado, and active in the Park County Republican Party in Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Hayes; son, John H. Hayes III of Sugarland, Texas; daughter, Kelly Whitcomb (James) of Houston, Texas; sisters, Elizabeth Hayes of Altadena, California and Pat Dunah of Mt. View, California; and three grandchildren, James and Elizabeth Whitcomb of Houston and Jack Hayes of Sugarland.
Jack was most at home sitting outside on his deck with his family, dogs and grill. He had a wonderful way of making friends with everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by many.
There will be services held at a later date in Lake George, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
