John Allen Harness, 58, of Conway departed this life Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Conway Regional Hospital. He was born in Hot Springs and grew up in Mayflower. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard, retired from Camp Robinson after 26 years with the National Guard Professional Education Center and loved fishing, hunting and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Joyce Harness and his brothers, Mike and James Harness. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Gloria Harness; children, Jenny and (Mike) Pearrow, of Conway, Christy and (Byron) Wells, of Lonoke, Eric Harness, Jessicka and (Greg) Geiman, of Vilonia; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Richard and Mark Harness, both of North Little Rock; sister, Sandra Gunderman, of Maumelle and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
