John Hamilton

John W. Hamilton, 78, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016. He was born June 22, 1938 in Pulaski County, Arkansas to Arthur Hamilton, Jr. and Myrtle Hamilton. J.W. "Jay" was a truck driver for Fischer's Honey Company in North Little Rock for 46 years. He was a master Crappie fisherman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood. He loved people and people loved him. He made friends everywhere he went. He is deeply loved and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Sue Corzine Hamilton; four children, Timothy (Cheryl) Hamilton, Lisa C. Hamilton, Scott (Kim) Hamilton and John C. Hamilton; grandchildren, Jessica Hamilton, Amber Hamilton, John Cody Vela, Sarah Vela, Alexander Hamilton, Grace Anne Hamilton, Christopher Hamilton and Mason Hamilton; seven great-grandchildren; brother, DeWayne Hamilton and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 7th at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8th at Sherwood First Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
