John Haley

John Haley

John Haley, 82, of Beebe, formerly of Benton passed away August 28, 2020.  He was born to Bud and Inez Haley on July 7, 1938 in Royal Oak, Michigan.

He moved to Sheridan at the age of 10.  He graduated from Sheridan High School and attended University of Arkansas at Monticello.  He went to work for Alcoa Aluminum Company in 1965, where he worked for over 30 years, before retiring.

John was a member of the Baptist Faith.

He enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. John enjoyed watching all sports especially the Razorbacks and horseracing.

John is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Haley.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lavetra Haley; five children, Starla Haley, Shawn Haley (Debbie), Sherri Madigan (Steve), Rocky Kimbrell (Angela), and Ricky Kimbrell (Lisa), seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, brother Carwin Haley, sister Shirley Russell (Charlie) and many other family and friends.

The family would like to thank AR Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for John.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, August 31, 2020 at Antioch Cemetery.  There will be a short visitation beginning at 12:30 at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to AR Hospice.
