John Bradford Goza, 67, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away January 20, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born April 21, 1955, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Paul and Frankie Goza.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Barry Goza.
Johnny is survived by his two daughters, Amber Lea Johnson of Gurdon, Arkansas, and Sydney Lynn Swayze (Colt) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, along with three grandchildren: Clarke Swayze, Claire Swayze and Collins Swayze, all of Lake Charles. Johnny is also survived by four siblings: Dixie Pennington (Clyde) of Ashdown, Arkansas, Vicki Hughes (Terry) of Gurdon, Shellie Stroud (Larry) of Gurdon and David Goza of Caney, Arkansas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
For many years, Johnny was a heavy equipment operator and pipe yard foreman for Brown & Root in New Orleans and, after moving back to Arkansas, several construction companies in central Arkansas. He was an avid arrowhead hunter and fisherman. He was a jokester, who had a huge laugh. He loved spending time with his three granddaughters. All his family knew that his favorite Christmas gift was a Wal-Mart gift card. Lol.
Visitation with the family will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Brother Kenny Beaver officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay Street, Arkadelphia, Arkansas 71923.
